Sue describe her boss
Yanti : What does your boss look like?
Sue : Well, He ‘s tall. He’s about 1.8 meters. And he’s got dark brown hair.
Yanti : Does he wear glasses?
Sue : No, he doesn’t. He wears contact lenses, I think.
Yanti : Is he good looking?
Sue : Yes. He’s quite good looking.
Meeting someone at the airport
Mr. Newton : Could you meet Mr. Fernandez at the airport? He’s arriving at three o’clock.
Abdullah : Sure. But how will I recognize him?
Mr. Newton : Well, he’s about fifty. He’s quite tall, with grey hair and glasses.
Abdullah : And is he thin or heavily built?
Mr. Newton : He’s rather fat. I think.
Andi describes his girl-friend
Arjuna : Tell me about your girl-friend
Andi : Well, she’s very pretty. She’s quite tall, slim, and she dresses very

(Modeling and Deconstruction)
1. The teacher gives the students a simple dialog text and the teacher read a short dialogue TSB as a model.
Mr. Newton : Could you meet Mr. Fernandez at the airport? He’s arriving at three o’clock.
Abdullah : Sure. But how will I recognize him?
Mr. Newton : Well, he’s about fifty. He’s quite tall, with grey hair and glasses.
Abdullah : And is he thin or heavily built?
Mr. Newton : He’s rather fat. I think.

2. The teacher then read the dialogue again and then ask the students to follow the reading teacher.
3. The teacher read a short dialogue by way of exchanging roles.
For example: In the first session, the teacher reads the dialog Jackie and Sue.
4. The teacher pointed to several students at random to read the dialogue.
5. The teacher corrects pronunciation and intonation when reading student dialogue.
6. The teacher explains how to read the role play to create a dialogue.
7. The teacher explains how to develop a diallog as examples in handout 1.

1. A. The teacher asks the students to work in pairs. The first pair was assigned based on handouts 2. The second pair is given a picture of people who will be described.
