Basic competence       : Respond within the meaning of transactional conversation (to get things done) and interpersonal (social) which uses a very simple kinds of oral language accurately, fluently and thankful to interact with the immediate environment that involves speech act: introducing yourself / others.

Indicators                    : - Listen to the conversations that contain the phrase introducing yourself and others.

                                      - Identify the meaning of words and phrases to introduce yourself to others.

                                     - Introduce yourself and others.

A.      Learning Objectives

At the end of the class, the students will be able to:

1. Identify the meaning of introducing yourself and others.

2. Introducing yourself and others.

3. Using the expression of introducing yourself and others in daily life.

B.       Learning Materials.

A: Have you two met each other?
B: No, we haven’t.
A: Ben, this is Carol. Carol this is Ben.

B: Nice to meet you Carol.
C: Nice to meet you too, Ben.

B: Where are you from, Carol?
C: I’m from Jakarta.
B: Jakarta, which part?
C: Pulogadung, the capital. How about you, Ben?
B: Nebraska–a place called Bellevue. It’s near Omaha.
C: How do you know Alan ?
B: He is my friend from college.

Hello my friends, good morning. I want to introduce my self! My name is Aska Fauzan. My family call me Aska. I am came from Bengkayang. I live at Kota Baru. I am twelve years old. I have one sister and two brothers. My hobby is a soccer and play station 2. Ok.! I think enough for my Introducing.

Hi, my name is Peter. My full name is Peter Sitohang. Live on Jl. Ampera, Pontianak. I was born on June 15 1999. My hobbie is swimming. I like green colour, because it is fresh. I have one brother and two sister. I thing that’s all my introduction.

Building Contexts (5’)

1. The teacher play the tape a conversation about introducing yourself and others during the two times.

2. The teacher asks for information about the conversations that have been heard.

    What is the speaker talking about?

3.      The teacher tell the students about the topic.

Modeling and Deconstructions context (40’)

1. The teacher play recordings of conversations that contain the phrase introducing yourself and others one time.

2. The teacher asked the students about the sentences that show the self-introduction.

3. Teachers play the tape back to the same conversation as he showed the written text by using the media projector.

4. The teacher give the text of introducing others to the students.

6. The teacher gives an example for the tone by stating / reading aloud a phrase that has been taught and their responses.

7.  Teachers provide examples of work about (fill in the blank) base on the recording.

Join construction (25’)

1.      The teacher ask the students to work in group.

2.      Teachers give students the handout 2, then ask the students to learn and work on some exercises that is given by the teacher.
